Donate to Congregation Jeshuat Israel

We are privileged to be the stewards of Touro Synagogue. It is a great honor -- and a great responsibility. The synagogue is a treasure. It is architecturally distinguished and historically significant, but most important of all, after 250 years it continues to be an active house of worship. As a congregation, our first priority is to ensure that the synagogue remains open for services. However, since we are a very small congregation of only 100 families, we very much appreciate donations from our visitors and friends. Donations to Congregation Jeshuat Israel may be sent to:

Capital Gifts

Pavers

For a very special gift, we offer you an opportunity to link your name and the name of your family to two and a half centuries of tradition at Touro Synagogue. Pavers in honor of or in memory of individuals and families line the path from Patriots Park to the synagogue.
  • Pavers in Patriots Park—$1800

Abraham Touro Society

The Abraham Touro Society honors Abraham Touro who had the vision and foresight to ensure the survival of Touro Synagogue by donating $10,000 to the Synagogue in 1823. We invite you to follow in Abraham Touro’s footsteps by becoming a charter member of the Abraham Touro Society. Your $10,000 gift will help create a permanent endowment to help maintain the synagogue building and ensure the Synagogue always remains open for services and has a rabbi in residence. Your generosity will be recognized on a plaque that will be mounted on the synagogue grounds.
  • Abraham Touro Society—$10,000
